Social Problems (A)

1. Inflation(dollar losing value, increasing gas prices)

2. Illegal Immigrants (jobs, healthcare, difficulty in entering the country legally)

3. Discrimination (religion, sex, race, culture)

4. Failing of Family Life (Divorce, abortion, uncertainty of roles in family)

5. Unemployment rates (increase in collecting social security, unemployment, food stamps)

  1. I seriously consider illegal immigration a problem. I wouldn't go so far as to satirically mock those in our country seeking opportunity like Juvenal does, but I do believe that immigration policies should be strict enough to reflect the capacity this country can hold at the present time. In our rush to be charitable and kind, or simply to gain votes for our party, we need to realize that letting anyone and their families into the country is bad for 2 reason. #1 - It would quickly deplete our countries resources, space, jobs and opportunities, leaving others who have deep roots in the US out in the cold. #2 - It takes people away from their own homeland and country where they could probably have a larger effect. If everyone leaves Mexico, who will be left to build up that nation? It is just as important.
